Home is where the heart is
Home is where the heart is....
Brushing off the sand on my skin, hearing the waves going back and forth and I just feel this sudden sense of peace in my soul. My body one with nature as I enter the water and feeling fishes around my legs, reaching out to see if I can connect with them.
All worries and stress float away as I am in the water.
I am one with nature, and oh how beautiful God made nature to be.
I am happy because I am at my favorite place to be, I am happy because I am home.
For those of you who follow my blog may not know much about me...who I am as a person or what my favorite things to do is. Well that's going to change. I want to share with you all my favorite place to be.....the beach. The beach is where I go when I have a stressful week, when I need to get away from reality, and when I just need to detox from life. Not just any public beach either, I love exploring and finding cool, private spots where I can enjoy my time alone on the shore. Everyone needs their own getaway right? It can be the gym, the park, or even driving alone.
It's important for us to sometimes just unplug from it all and enjoy the things that make us truly happy and feel peaceful. Even if it's for a couple of hours, take the time to find peace within yourself and have that time alone because it'll ease the pain you're going through or remind you of what you want out of your life.
I hope you enjoyed this post and found out a little bit more about myself and who I am. I too, get caught up in this world filled with IG posts, fashion and makeup, but there's so much more to life than all of those things. I want to bring life into my blog, share more meaningful posts (don't get me wrong, I love fashion and it's a huge part of my interests). But if I have to admit, my true self is when I have no makeup on the face, let my hair free and do whatever it pleases to do, and explore the ocean.
Do you have your own happy place? A place where you can go to escape from reality?
I'd love to get to know you all! Comment down below with the place you call home away from home.
